About Us

Yore Mountain Campground is a family-run campground, founded in 2022 by Susan and Joshua Yorks.

Growing up, Susie always had a love for the outdoors. Her family had gone on many adventures around the US, camping and visiting wild and curious places. She went on to pursue a degree in Outdoor Recreation Leadership and Management from Northern Michigan University, which allowed her to teach in an outdoor setting for 10 years. After a few moves to follow her husband Josh’s calling to be a pastor, they felt God calling them towards the campground.

Yore Mountain Campground is a true labor of love. Born out of pure passion and the pursuit of adventure and wonder. With Yore Mountain Campground, Susie and Josh hope to give others a safe place to experience nature close to home, where they can get their feet wet with camping, hiking, and everything outdoors.
